Alex Chistyakov: "State of Python performance engineering 2017"
Description
State of Python performance engineering 2017
There is an urban legend stating that Python is slow. It is partially true but 1) there are several different implementations of the Python interpreter, 2) "slowness" is not an absolute characteristic, 3) we should measure things. We will discuss a current state of Python performance analysis tools and analyze a couple of real world cases using several modern Python implementations.
Alex Chistyakov has been a serial engineer past 20 years. He likes cats and optimizing performance of various programs.
